CAKD Magazine Sales 2009-2010
National Kappa Delta asks each member to support the Chapter Housing Fund by participating in magazine sales each year. In the past, our alumnae chapter has not been active in magazine sales, but we did want to let our alumnae know about the magazines available for those “hard to buy” friends and family as we prepare for the Holiday gift giving season. Also, if you or
your family has a business that subscribes to magazines for your waiting room; there is also a special emphasis on renewals this year. Kappa Delta Scholarships and Continuing Education Grants: Due February 1, 2010
Kappa Delta provides over $110,000 each year in scholarships to its members and we hope that you will consider applying for a scholarship if you are working to further your education on either the undergraduate or graduate level. National Girls Day – Moved to November 14, 2010
Due to a large number of groups wanting to participate, the Confidence Coalition has moved National Girls Day from February 28, 2010 to November 14, 2010. So, instead of a National Girls Day event in February, our Alumnae Chapter will work with a local Girl Scout troop on the topic of Confidence for our monthly meeting. If you are interested in helping plan our February event, please contact us at centralarkansaskd@hotmail.com.

Order of the Emerald and Order of the Pearl 2011
National Kappa Delta offers recognition for achievements of its members to and outside of the sisterhood in its Order of the Emerald and Order of the Pearl awards. Each alumnae chapter is eligible to nominate one member for Order of the Pearl and Order of the Emerald. These nominations are due by October 1, 2010. Please begin thinking now who you would like to nominate.
