Arkansas KD State Day – Weekend of September 25th

Save the Date! The Northwest Arkansas Kappa Delta Alumnae chapter is hosting a KD State Day the weekend of the Alabama-Arkansas football game in Fayetteville. NWARKD received a $500 grant for the very 1st KD State Day in Arkansas, and details are being planned for this event. Get excited about this weekend! The CAKD contact for this event is Jessica Riley Holcomb (kdjesi570@hotmail.com). If you are interested in participating on the planning committee, please contact Jessica.

Community Service Opportunities
Each month CAKD will provide opportunities that you can participate in activities that support the values and philanthropies of Kappa Delta Sorority. While there will not be an “official” KD group at these events this month, feel free to grab some sisters and attend to support the great work in our community. Do you have an event that you want to publicize in future newsletters? Send it to

Prevent Child Abuse America -- CASA of Pulaski County Pedal Races – April 10th. The 5th Annual Pulaski County CASA Pedal Car Races is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at the Rivermarket. There will be racing, music, dancing, games and more! Bring your whole family! The cost is $5.00 per child. Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas –Nature’s Gems (Celebrate Earth Day) is scheduled for April 17th at Dunbar Community Center from 10 am to 2 pm. This is a core council event. Contact Mindy Baird (mbaird@girlscoutsdiamonds.org) for more information.

End of Year Reports
CAKD dues-paying members can view the completed “End of Year Reports” at http://dashboard.kappadelta.org. Members login by using their KD Friendship Network Account Information (if you don’t have one, there is a link to the place where you can set one up). CAKD had a GREAT year in 2009-2010. The executive board is looking forward to an even better 2010-2011!
